• New Haven Opportunities 

    United Way of Greater New Haven compiled the following information for high school students interested in summer programs on Yale's campus.     Elm City Internationals

    Elm City Internationals (ECI) uses soccer to engage low-income youth in academics. The end goal is for all of our student-athletes to attend and graduate from college. To learn more, visit their website.

     

    Arte Saturday Academy

    A youth academy to stimulate the brains of young people to encounter themselves through exploration of the arts, culture, and leadership development. Courses and activities related to the arts, dance, music, drama, traditions, and culture. Talks on language arts, poetry, and prose to cultivate a love of language.     Summer Jazz 

    Directed by renowned jazz drummer Jesse Hameen II, the NMS Summer Jazz Program provides opportunities for musicians to dive deep into the world of jazz, learning from seasoned teachers. Over the course of a week, students participate in theory classes, instrument-specific master classes, skill shops, combos, and bands, all filled with fun, learning, and musical development.     St. Luke's Steel Band Strings and Steel Summer Camp 

    St. Luke's Steel Band and Music Haven invite you to the 13th annual summer camp - an intense, educational and fun program that gives participants the opportunity to learn or improve their steel pan and string playing skills. To learn more, visit their website. 

     

    CTVIP

    Offers three programs for youth: Song Strong Studios (teaching art and business through music), Hamden Youth Diversion Project (divert youth from the juvenile-delinquent system), and Chadre's Community Garden (produce health food options!). To learn more, visit their website. 

     

    R.E.A.D.Y

    Phenomenal I Am

    Youth Entrepreneurs 

    Genius Leadership through Youth Entrepreneurs is a high school and college leadership development program for youth ages 15-21. Through immersive and interactive workshops, students in each Genius Leadership cohort will be exposed to training on drawing from their natural leadership energy to lead themselves and others as they spark positive change.
