Tanisha Hill

Tanisha is a New Haven Public Schools graduate. She earned an associate degree from Gateway Community College. Tanisha truly loves working with children, and is interested in promoting health. Her career goal is to become a teacher, to be able to give children the tools to become successful in life. In her spare time, Tanisha enjoys the outdoors, jogging, walking and hiking.

Rosa Melendez

Rosa joined the NHPS School Health Assistant Team in 2019. Previously she worked for the Cheshire Public Schools and the Quinnipiac University Transition Program dealing with special needs students. Her work record also includes 12 years at the Wilbur Cross School Health Center as an office manager. Being fluent in Spanish, and as a native of New Haven who also attended NHPS, she is able to make a significant contribution to the betterment of the NHPS students’ lives.

Laura Ponzio

Laura joined New Haven Public Schools in 2015, when she decided to make a career change, after having worked in an ophthalmology medical and surgical practice for 16 years. Laura has many years of experience and knowledge in the medical field. She is a loving wife and mother of two teenage boys. Laura’s love and compassion for kids, and her willingness to help and serve others, has become the perfect fit for the New Haven Public Schools community.
