    Membership and Purpose:

     

    The District Wellness Committee is comprised of a diverse group of District, Community, student and parent members committed to improving the health, wellbeing and engagement of students and staff, and to creating healthier school environments in which to learn, work and play.

     

    The primary functions of the DWC are:

     

    1. Develop annual school wellness plan, school health policies, protocols and recommendations
    2. Review health/wellness related school based program proposals from partners
    3. Promote collaboration with community partners
    4. Monitor and support core school health initiatives:

     

    • Health Education K-12 roll out
    • Healthy Schools Program (school wellness committees)
    • School health centers/dental services
    • Plan Annual Health & Wellness Summit

    The District Wellness Committee (DWC) meetings will be held

    on the first Monday of each month

    from October, 2019 – May 2020

    in Parish Hall

    (Betsy Ross Arts Magnet School Campus)
