NEW HAVEN PUBLIC SCHOOLS OFFICE OF YOUTH, FAMILY AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT LAUNCHES ATTEND CONNECT ENGAGE “A.C.E” FOR LEARNING CAMPAIGN
The New Haven Public Schools Office of Youth, Family and Community Engagement is working with its trusted community partners and city agencies on a call to action to launch the Attend Connect, Engage (“A.C.E.”) for Learning Campaign on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at 3:00 PM, at a press conference at 130 Orchard Street, New Haven, CT.
The A.C.E. for Learning Campaign seeks to connect with, and engage students and families during this difficult time. A.C.E. for Learning will also support students and families who are having difficulty connecting to remote learning and who are in need of additional assistance.
Office of Youth, Family and Community Engagement will start the A.C.E for Learning campaign with a canvass kickoff following the press conference. NHPS officials and staff will join with neighborhood-support organizations to reach out and knock on doors of students and families who have not been fully engaged in remote learning during the Covid-19 related shutdown of New Haven Public Schools.
The Covid-19 pandemic has proven an extremely difficult time for students and families in the New Haven Public Schools district. The Office of Youth, Family and Community Engagement is working to ensure all students are fully engaged in remote learning and to support families.
The A.C.E for Learning Campaign will continue to contact families by phone and will expand its door to door canvass efforts to make students and families fully aware of technology and other available supports.
