What does the remote only option look like during the Hybrid Model? Students in preschool thru 3rd grade, will join live instruction four days a week, but during the first two weeks teacher will dedicate time to ensure in-person students have learned all the safety protocols and remote students may have more assignments during that transition. In 4th thru 12th grade, students who opt for full remote during the Hybrid model will be assigned to an A group or a B group. Initially, group A will receive live instruction with teacher over students’ devices on Monday and Tuesday, and after checking-in live each day for attendance, will work on assignments posted to Google Classrooms on Wednesday thru Friday. Initially, group B will receive live instruction with teacher over students’ devices on Thursday and Friday, and after checking-in live each day for attendance, will work on assignments posted to Google Classrooms on Monday thru Wednesday. Both groups work on assignments on Wednesday when the schools are being deep cleaned.
Who will be teaching my child if they opt for the full remote option? Students will be taught primarily by the teacher(s) they have been assigned to for the year. In some cases, schools may make some adjustments and you will be notified if that is the case by your principal.
How long will my child be online for instruction if we opt for full remote? Students have been following a schedule during the 10 weeks that the district has been in full remote that will be very similar, with the exception of Wednesday, to what they will experience during Hybrid. That’s to say, that the instructional blocks occur throughout the day and students are expected to attend 15-20 minute lessons throughout the day in both the Remote and Hybrid models. Generally, the students will continue to follow their schedules.
If the teacher is facilitating and getting the students into a new program (in-person Hybrid), how will this work? Teachers will plan their instructional blocks, such as reading time or chemistry class, to deliver instruction in small segments that minimize the time when teacher is addressing both the students in person and the students who communicate with teacher remotely. This is what we refer to as a blended model, in which students are sometimes interacting with peers and teacher and at times working on an assignment so the teacher can rotate to different groups of students throughout the block.

¿Quién enseñará a mi hijo si selecciona la opción de aprendizaje en línea por completo? Los estudiantes serán instruidos principalmente por los maestros asignados durante el año. En algunos casos, las escuelas pueden hacer algunos ajustes y si ese es el caso, será notificado por el director.
¿Cuánto tiempo estará mi hijo en línea para recibir instrucción si optamos por el aprendizaje en línea por completo? El tiempo será muy parecido al horario en línea que los estudiantes han estado siguiendo en el distrito durante estas 10 semanas, con la excepción del miércoles, al que experimentarán el modelo mixto. Es decir, los bloques de instrucción ocurren a lo largo del día y se espera que los estudiantes asistan a lecciones de 15 a 20 minutos en los modelos en línea y mixto.
Si el maestro está facilitando y haciendo que los estudiantes ingresen a un nuevo programa (en persona mixto), ¿cómo funcionará? Los maestros planificarán sus bloques de instrucción, como el tiempo de lectura o la clase de química, para dar instrucción en segmentos pequeños que minimicen el tiempo en que el maestro se dirige tanto a los estudiantes en persona como a los estudiantes que se comunican con el maestro en línea.
