Wilbur Cross High School offers a wide range of courses through the Independent Study & Seminar Program (ISSP) and the College Before College Program. ISSP supports independent students by working with them to find the challenging opportunities that best fit their interests, strengths, and schedules, serving as their mentors along the way.
In ISSP’s College Before College Program, Coordinators guide students as they select and register for college classes. In addition, Coordinators support students throughout their time in college classes with conferences and evaluations. The four main College Before College programs are in partnership with Gateway, UNH/NH Promise, Southern, and Yale. They are available at every high school in New Haven. They are on-campus programs, where individual high school students attend courses mixed in with college students.
The ISSP & College Before College Coordinator for Wilbur Cross is Julie Reinshagen. She can be contacted at julie.reinshagen@nhboe.net. She is at Wilbur Cross on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and her office is located in the Library.
