Connecticut Food Bank (CFB): Currently working with other Feeding America Food Banks to share best practices and situational experience. Dates for mobile pantries.

United Way of Connecticut: If students/community needs assistance finding food, paying house bills, accessing free childcare or other essential services, call 2-1-1.
SNAP (Food Stamps): Households and individuals wanting to apply for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program: check eligibility/apply online, go to www.connect.ct.gov; click on “apply for benefits.”
Women, Infants & Children (WIC): Supplemental food and nutrition program for pregnant women, new moms and children under of 5 years. To apply, 1-800-741-2142.
Connecticut Diaper Bank: Only distributing diapers and Alliance Period Supplies through current partnering agencies.

Comcast Xfinity:

- Comcast Internet Essentials: Comcast is increasing access to and speed of its “Internet Essentials” low-Income Internet service. Eligible applicants can receive two free months’ service ($9.95/month). You can apply if:
You are eligible for public assistance programs (e.g., Medicaid, SNAP, SSI, etc.)
Live in a city or town served by Comcast
Haven’t subscribed to Comcast Internet within the last 90 days
Have no outstanding debt to Comcast less than one year old.

AT&T: won’t terminate service/charge late fees for wireless, home phone or broadband residential or small business customers for next 60 days. Public Wi-Fi hotspots open to any American. Consumer home internet wireline customers will receive unlimited internet data. Qualified “limited income households” will be able to pay $10/month for internet access.
Verizon Wireless: will waive late fees for residential and small business customers affected by COVID-19.
T-Mobile: Customers can set up a payment arrangement online. Customers will receive unlimited cellphone data for the next 60 days, except for roaming.
Sprint: For next 60 days, waiving late fees; not stopping service for those unable to pay bills.

Eversource: Suspending disconnections for nonpayment; assisting with financial programs e.g., payment plan). Community Action Agency of New Haven (CAANH) Info/Services
Connecticut Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) –CAANH accepting applications for heat assistance, for eligible households, until May 1, 2020. No walk-ins. Call 203.387.7700 x287 to complete energy application by mail or by phone. Also available:
- Operation Fuel: statewide program providing one-time emergency energy assistance to those households in crisis and ineligible for energy assistance program; offers seasonal assistance to oil heating clients.
- Case Management Services-Family Services Department: Provides access to services/referrals to address barriers, e.g., homelessness, basic needs, housing, vocational, mental health/addiction treatment, employment and transportation assistance.
- Passport Transitional Services: Case management services to the homeless people and families
